BracketBolt · About
Every great debate deserves a bracket
BracketBolt is a web app for running live, head-to-head voting tournaments. You add the entrants, share a link, and your audience decides every matchup until one champion is left standing.
What it is
Ranking things is easy. Agreeing on the ranking is the hard part. A bracket breaks a huge question, such as the best pizza topping or the best opening in anime, into a series of small ones where there are only two choices and a clear winner. Everyone has an opinion about a single matchup, and the results add up to a ranking nobody could have written alone.
BracketBolt handles the machinery. It seeds a single-elimination bracket from your list, gives byes to the top seeds when the field is not a power of two, collects votes in real time, advances winners automatically and crowns a champion. You pick whether each round is closed by hand or by a timer, from one minute to a full week, and what should happen when a match ends in a tie.
You can build one from scratch, start from a template, or paste a list or upload a CSV with up to 128 entrants. When it is live, share it as a link, an embed or a stream overlay.
Who it's for
Anyone with an audience and a disagreement worth settling.
Streamers
Run a bracket on air. Chat votes with !1 and !2 from Twitch or YouTube, and a transparent OBS overlay shows the tree over your scene.
Communities
Settle the best-of-anything debate in a Discord server, subreddit or group chat with a single link that works on any phone.
Creators and bloggers
Turn a ranked list into something readers take part in. Embed the live bracket in a post and let the audience pick the winner.
Teachers and clubs
Run a class vote on books, historical figures or mascots. Timed rounds let a bracket run through the school week without anyone babysitting it.
How we build it
Voting should take one tap
Voters never need an account. A person opens the link, picks a side, and sees the live split. Every extra step costs votes, so we keep the path short.
Fair results, minimal data
One vote per person per match, enforced with salted one-way hashes instead of stored IP addresses. Creators can review and disqualify clustered votes on their own brackets.
The details are written down in plain language. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored when someone votes, and the FAQ answers the practical questions about voting, embeds, imports and streaming.
Free, with a Pro tier
Creating a bracket of up to 63 entrants, collecting votes and sharing it is free. Brackets created on the free plan can carry an advertising space, which helps cover hosting. Voters never pay and never hit a paywall.
Pro is $4.99 a month for creators who want more: brackets of 64+ entrants, the OBS overlay, a custom logo and theme color, no ads on their brackets, voter email capture and password protection. Compare the plans.
